Who are eligible for hair transplantation?
Hair transplantation could be applied to those who suffer from male type hair loss. That kind of hair loss is due to the effect of testosterone in persons with a genetic predisposition. Hair generating cells perish due to the existence of that hormone in time. Thus, hair becomes fine at first, then stops growing longer, and then it is lost completely. Hair transplantation is the most effective and permanent treatment for such patients.

Does the age of the patient have any effect in hair loss?
The most important factor in hair transplantation is that whether hair loss is over or not. Although male type hair loss persists for a whole lifetime, it becomes more serious especially after 39-40 years of age. Therefore, it should be considered that hair loss could go on and the patient could need a second or even third session following the operation if it is applied to those under that age.

How long does hair transplantation last?
Hair transplantation lasts for three or five hours. The patient can turn back to daily routine within two days.

When does the new hair grow?
Some sort of red incrustation is spotted in transplantation area following the operation. The patient can prevent that by washing his/her hair once a day. The crusts disappear within 7-10 days and the transplantation area recovers completely. Thus, the patient restores his/her previous outlook within 15 days or 1 month. In the following 3 months, there is no change in his/her outlook. New hair grows slowly after those 3 months. The change is most observable in 5th and 6th months. 90 percent of the hair grows in the 9th month. The total result, on the other hand, is ensured in 1 year.

Does it have any side effect?
That operation is held under local anaesthesia with no health risk. Besides, there is no known side effect.

Does it ensure a natural outlook?
The result of the transplantation depends completely on the techniques used. The magnitude and direction of grafts affect the result. If grafts are placed in conformity with the natural magnitude and direction of hair, a highly natural outlook could be ensured.

How many sessions are necessary?
According to the magnitude of the transplantation area and depending on whether hair loss continues, more than one session might be necessary.
Which kind of new techniques are implemented in hair transplantation?
The latest technique is taking hair called FUE one by one through 1 mm. special tubes from the vendor area. There is no cut or suture in scalp. Recovery is quite fast. FUE and FUT techniques could be applied together if necessary.
